1. Unclogging a clogged drain
Most drains in the kitchen can be unclogged by first pouring a cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by a hot cup of vinegar. (Heat the vinegar in the microwave for one minute.) Let the baking soda and vinegar do their work for a few minutes and then flush everything with a litre of boiling water. Repeat if necessary. Is grease the cause of the clogging? Then use half a cup of baking soda and half a cup of salt, followed by a cup of boiling water. Let this mixture work overnight. Repeat if necessary.
