The decision to move a family member to a nursing or care home is very difficult and sometimes very emotional as well. But sometimes the family member needs so much help that living at home is no longer possible. But the care for the elderly in nursing homes or care homes is not the ideal solution for everyone.
In nursing or care homes, the staff is drowning in work, therefore they can not give sufficient and personal attention to every resident. In addition, a nursing or care home feels, for some, more like a hospital than their own real house.
When Ken Dupin faced this difficult choice, he was well aware of the shortcomings of such houses. He came up with an alternative idea, namely a MEDCottage.
